Diamondhead (voiced by Jim Ward in the first series, Daran Norris in the live-action movie, Dee Bradley Baker in the second series) is a Petrosapien ("Petro-" referring to rocks, "sapien" referring to an intelligent being; Petrosapien would mean "intelligent rock") from the crystal planet Petropia (a combination of the Greek "Petro-" and "topos", forming a word similar to "rock place"). The planet was destroyed by Vilgax with assistance from Tetrax, who unknowingly helped him create the weapon that destroyed his home. Ben first transforms into Diamondhead in "And Then There Were 10" when he needed to destroy Vilgax's giant robot. In the planning stages, Diamondhead was set up to be one of the aliens Ben would have discovered later on, while Cannonbolt would have been one of the original ten. Diamondhead's body is composed of an extremely durable organic crystal, making him nearly invulnerable. Diamondhead can control his crystal physiology at will, allowing him to create crude crystal weapons from any part his body on demand or fire crystal shards from his hands. This same ability also allows him to regenerate to an extent, such as regrowing lost limbs. In addition to growing crystal from himself, Diamondhead can grow crystal over other objects. Lasers and other similar weapons are useless against Diamondhead, as his crystal body acts as a prism, refracting the beams. The one drawback to Diamondhead's crystal form is the crystal itself, which can shatter if exposed to sufficiently strong sonic vibrations. While Petrosapiens can regenerate limbs, there is a limit to how much damage they can recover from. Diamondhead makes an appearance in the third season premiere of Ben 10: Alien Force, regenerating from Chromastone's remains after Vilgax destroyed him. Diamondhead's appearance is slightly altered, with a primarily dark blue uniform that also covers part of his head. In this series, he demonstrates the ability to psychokinetically control the crystal he creates.

Ben 10 Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks is the third game in the Ben 10 video game series, and the second game to be based on the Ben 10: Alien Force series. It was released on October 27, 2009. The game received generally positive reviews from critics. The story starts as Vilgax invades earth with a gigantic Null Void
projector. The combined forces of the Null Void's prisoners and
Vilgax's forces are too much for Ben, Kevin, and Gwen to handle, and to
make matters worse, some of Ben's alien forms become unacceptable after
too many quick transformations. To help save the earth, Professor
Paradox sends the trio back in time in order to stop Vilgax from
collecting a power source for his Null Void projector. With help from
Grandpa Max and Ship, Ben and company travel throughout the galaxy to
foil Vilgax's evil plan before it can come to fruition.
Characters
In Ben's quest to thwart Vilgax, he will encounter enemies new and
old, such as Psyphon, the Vreedle Brothers, Charmcaster, Darkstar,
Ghostfreak (Zs'Skayr), Albedo, and D'Void (Dr. Animo), waiting to get
their revenge on our hero. But Ben will also be among friends as
Grandpa Max, Professor Paradox, Cooper, Ship, Grandma Verdona, and
Azmuth help him to save the earth and the galaxy.
Gameplay
Unlike the previous Ben 10 video games, this installment will
feature Ben's full range of alien forms from the first season of the
series (with Cannonbolt replacing Alien X). Upchuck is included as an
exclusive alien form in the DS version of the game (replacing
Cannonbolt). Also, this game is a 3-D game unlike the last two Ben 10
games except for the DS. The game will also have Ben traveling to seven
new alien planets. Also the game will include various puzzles uniquely
built around Ben's various aliens including many boss battles that
combine epic fighting with puzzle solving.
Ben 10: Alien Force is a video game based on the American animated television series with the same name. The game was released in North America in October 28, 2008 and February 2009 in the UK.While on their way to the amusement pier Ben, Gwen, and Kevin
encounter a Forever Knight through the use of an alien tech tracker.
Kevin, Gwen, and Ben track the Forever Knight to the pier where he is
looking for a piece of alien tech buried there. On his way to retrieve
the component Ben encounters a off world (and notably out of shape)
plumber named Gorvan. Gorvan states that his objective is to retrieve
several illegal alien tech components and quickly recruits Ben, Gwen,
and Kevin to complete this task. Next the trio go to a Forever Knight
castle in the forest. Ben and Kevin fights their way through the
Knights and the security system where Ben discovers the next component
is hidden in a (notably chained) robotic Dragon's den. After defeating
the Dragon, Ben retrieves the component and brings it back to the
nearest plumbers base where Gorvan is and Gorvan (notably very rudely)
takes the Component for safe keeping.
Next the team hunts down a recently uncovered component at a
military base. Kevin decides to sit out the mission after being
insulted by Ben and Gwen. As Ben makes his way through the surface
(fighting Vulkanus pick axe minion's), Gwen deactivates the security
systems for him under ground. Eventually Ben makes his way to Vulkanus
himself (who takes disappointment in that Kevin decided not to join Ben
on his mission) where Ben must fight and defeat him at ammunition range
and Ben takes the component. Back at the base after giving Gorvan the
component and telling him about Vulkanus Gorvan states that Vulkanus
will have to be "dealt" with eventually Kevin Ben and Gwen notes that
Gorvan is acting suspicously.
Gorvan receives a message from the rest of the plumbers asking for a
progress report and Gorvan goes to delever it on a incryptid channel.
Next Ben travels to a hatchery where a group of DNAliens are using the
component to power an egg machine. After fighting his way through a
ghost town and the Hatchery Ben retrieves the component and brings the
component back to the base.
After unlocking Grandpa Max's secret files Ben, Gwen, and Kevin
discovers that Gorvan was a disgraced Plumber who was thrown out for
hording and selling illegal alien Tech, the revelation provokes Kevin
to hunt down Gorvan without backup and Ben goes after Kevin. Meanwhile
Kevin has caught up with Gorvan who lured Kevin into a Hatchery inside
the base. After finally catching up with Kevin, Ben finds him partially
transformed into a DNAlien. After beating Kevin, Ben turns him back to
normal and sends him back to Gwen. Ben continues Kevin's short lived
quest to find Gorvan and defeats him. After getting back to Gwen and
Kevin, Gwen explains that the final component (which was hidden inside
the base) is a Sub energy core. A Highbreed breaks in and steals the
component.
Using Kevin's tech tracker, they trace the Highbreed to three now
completed weather towers. The Team is immediately split up due to a
swarm by DNAliens. Ben deduces that a nearby rocket ship is the control
center for the weather towers and proceeds to remove it from the
circuit board despite Gwen's attempted warnings.
After fighting off a swarm of DNAliens, DNAlien alien hybrids, plus
one Highbreed Ben makes his way to the auto pilot where he moves the
ship out of the circuitry. However, the Highbreed explains that
removing the ship starts the weather towers up and gloats that if not
for Ben his plans would be ruined and tosses Ben out of his Ship so
that Ben can see his own handwork in action.
We rewind to the beginning of the last level where Gwen tries to
warn Ben not to go into the ship. After the failed attempt, Gwen and
Kevin split up to take down the tower's force fields. After
accomplishing their mission they are met with a full sized Humongosaur
who easily takes down the remaining towers. While exploring the
wreckage of the towers, the team discovers that the Highbreed are
planning to make a giant arch.

At the start of the game, a mosquito-like drone extracts much of the
DNA from the Omnitrix, leaving only Heatblast and Fourarms on the
watch. Ben finds that the stolen DNA is being used to power various
robots in the form of Omnitrix Crystals, and in destroying these robots
he regains some of his alien forms. Ben regains XLR8 after fighting the
last one.
Ben later finds Vilgax's drones and the Forever Knights fighting.
Enoch is building a mech using technology from Area 51 in an attempt to
stop Vilgax; and though he is also trying to save the world, he isn't
willing to let the Tennysons help. By defeating Enoch's mech, Ben
regains Cannonbolt.
In San Francisco, Ben learns that Kevin escaped from the Null Void
and brought some plant creatures along. Kevin 11 kidnaps Max and
escapes to the Lumber Mill, where Ben defeats him. Kevin 11 is then
drawn in the Null Void again. Ben tracks down and defeats the mother
plant in Seattle, after which Ben regains Wildvine.
In outer space, Vilgax and Ghostfreak are working together, the
latter having released Vilgax from the Null Void. Ben, Gwen, and Max
find out about Ghostfreak after defeating an overshadowed Hex. They
also learn that he plundered the Plumber's base. Ben fights Ghostfreak
at the Coast Theatre, and is then locked in the Null Void by Max. Ben
finds another Omnitrix Crystal which unlocks the first part of the
Master Control.
Ben finds out about Doctor Animo using the Alien DNA to create a
mutant army. Ben fights them, but Doctor Animo manages to kidnap Gwen.
After defeating Clancy (who works for Doctor Animo), they receive a
hint about Gwen's location. They reach an oil platform, where Ben
encounters Doctor Animo. Ben defeats him and saves Gwen. He also
regains another Omnitrix crystal, which unlocks the next and last part
of the Master control. During her imprisonment, Gwen learned that
Doctor Animo works for Vilgax. She also learned that Vilgax wants to
draw the entire planet in the Null Void.
Max and Gwen try to warn the government, while Ben deals with Sixsix
and Vilgax's troops. Max then makes a space vehicle out of the Rust
Bucket. They encounter Vilgax in his own ship. Ben then defeats Vilgax
in a battle and ejects him into outer space. After that, Ben, Gwen and
Max recover the last pieces of the Omnitrix. The Tennysons escape and
the Null Void portal draws Vilgax and his ship inside, injuring his
body in the progress. The Tennysons then head back to Earth.
As Vilgax is repaired by his nanobots in the Null Void, he swears
that he will return someday. The last area is the Null Void where Ben
fights all of his enemies twice. In the final scene, Gwen tells Ben how
impressed she is as. Max looks for a way out of the void.
